Who it's for
Learning and development leaders, HR partners, facilitators, coaches and learning designers, whether you work inside a large organisation or with clients of your own.
You'll get the most from it if you suspect that completion rates and satisfaction scores tell you very little, and you want to see people change after a programme and be able to show it.
Why this, and why now
Most enterprise learning systems were built to deliver content and count who finished. They do that well. What they can't tell you is whether a person was ready to learn when they arrived, or what changed after they left.
This journey gives you a way to see both. You'll work with your own report first, then learn to read a whole group, and finally use it with a real team of your own.

- Build and facilitate a Group View for a team or client group
- Use readiness and resilience to decide how a programme starts, and who needs support first
- Design sessions that work for the different ways people take things in
- Measure again after 90 days and make the case to the people who hold the budget

Five principles we work by
Space creates transformation.
Change needs room in the diary. A crowded agenda leaves none.
Silence is power.
The pause after a hard question is where people do their thinking. Hold it.
Questions over answers.
People act on what they work out for themselves.
Breakdown precedes breakthrough.
Discomfort in a session is often a sign that something is shifting.
The group is the teacher.
The room usually knows more than the facilitator. Design for that.
Become a LearnSmartly Certified Practitioner
To complete your certification:
- Attend at least 5 of the six sessions.
- Write your Educator Evolution Manifesto.
- Run a Group View debrief with a team in your organisation or a client group of 5 to 10 people, with David's support.
Up to 10 team reports are included in your fee, valid for 60 days after the programme ends.
When you're certified, you receive:
- A certificate and a digital badge for LinkedIn
- The LearnSmartly practitioner conversation guide
- Practitioner rates on further LearnSmartly reports
- A place in the alumni community, with support when you need it
